How are FReepers responding to the Rudolph sentence?
I haven't the stomach to go over there.

So, how are our culture-of-life brethren dealing with the sentencing of this piece of filth?

By the way, as objectionable as he is, I still am adamantly against the death penalty. I don't think you can mete out an irreversible punishment of any kind. Period.

In a way, it's fitting he doesn't get the death penalty. That should drive the Right even more batty!

2. I'm so glad he didn't get a death sentence
We would have had to endure that whole appeals process while hearing about how he was being martyred for his good Christian works.

Now, he will slide into oblivion until his "accident" in the rec yard.

3. I held my nose and flashed through one of the threads.
Right after the verdict giving him life. Oddly enough, the majority (on that one rather short thread), were very anti-Rudolph. Not so much for what he did (though some were), but the "bad name" it gave the pro-preggers.

Of course, they, "pro-lifers" that they are, thought snuffing him would be the best answer.

5. It does set up a real contradiction in their logic.
A murderer should get the death sentence...but he did it as a pro-life action....so do you kill him or honor his action?

6. Well...
...obviously, you kill him then put his remains in an urn or other reliquary to be passed around the Bible Belt from congregation to congregation. After all, they do want to party like it's 1399...

7. Can the NRA mail their magazines to the prison?
Or do they cancel the subscription when their members go on killing sprees?
