Bush was smeared on NBC news just now!!!
There I was, sitting at my computer and my wife called me and said "Hon, come quick, you have to hear this". I ran down stairs and Brokaw had a segment on the poor getting poorer(no shit. jobless recovery). Then, Brokaw continued with a segment on what this administration was planning on spending for reconstructing Iraq (ala, the wapo article today). The segment mentioned the computer analysis for reconstructing Iraq's mail system (54 mil) and continued with building several communities with all the ammenities. Then a repub came on and said something about we are not spending enough on our own country.
I was punching the air saying it is about time.
Finally, the media whores are telling the sheeple how screwed up this administration is.
I had a long day today, 5am to 5pm and I am tired, but this perked me up.
Kick a dog when he's down. That's what happens when the polls show you are going down and there is blood in the water. The media sharks know who how to cater to and that is us, the American's who saw though all the bullshit from the beginning while the bushlite dems cowtowed to rove.
I'm rambling so I will close. It was so nice to see the media whores report REAL NEWS.
Good night,
RIindepentent

6. Well
GE must be panicking now because the Chimpadministration has been nothing but disaster and are pulling their tow-line on the Repukkklicans, and ashamed of what the Repukkklicans represent right now.

No wonder - MSNBC, CNBC and NBC are in the toilet right now.

ABC had a similar story. The cost is $50,000 per bed. Wow.

9. "Smeared" is probably not the right word
It implies that the criticism is unfair. In Bush's case it is more than deserved and long overdue.

10. All this whoop-de-do means bullshit!!
Unless you are out there doing something to help keep this momentum going. We thought we had the ability to win back the Senate and House in 2002 back when Jeffords defected. Even AFTER 9/11 we thought we still could have a chance - and we blew it instead.

So let's drink a toast to Bush's defeat but time to get back to work. We need to write those letters, call our local radio/tv call-in shows, join a campaign, join a GOTV group, donate money, donate time, donate your loud mouth (my special contribution).

But what ever we do, we should just be sitting on our asses say "YES we got him now" Bush has got a war chest of at least $200,000,000 AND he's got those speical interest groups that are happy to throw those slimeball campaign tactics on the TV for him (especially since we may get hit with campaign finance turnover from the SCOTUS).

So celebrate some, but get back to work. It won't be overwith until we ge Bush out of the White House!!

11. That's right...
I've also seen this before, this sense that "Bush is finished", only to see him strut away unscathed.

With this guy's record, we should be able to overwhelm him in the next election. But it's not a slam dunk.

We've got to FINISH HIM OFF. Write letters. Make phone calls. Talk to people. Work for your candidate. Get the word out. Don't let up.

14. Your right LynneSin.
Due to the hatch act and my job I cannot protest or work for a particular candidate, but my wife can. My wife was there, in New York, as a protester, before the bush war demonstrating against the war. I was so proud. But the protest fell on empty ears: the sheeple did not hear it. So here we are, today, and what has been acomplished? Saddly, nothing. American's are dying for cheney's oil. No time to toast. I can't sit on my ass so I try to educate the sheeple, includng my so called educated co-workers, that this regeim is an ideological lot, and does not give a shit about you or me. We can't sit back and enjoy what we expected a long time ago. The press was against us and... everyone was against us. Us being the American patriots trying to warn the nation of an up coming disastor (Iraq). But it happened. My fellow DUer's, don't gloat. Americans are out of work, Americans are dying, f#$&, you know what I mean. We can't sit back and enjoy this bit of irony; the press now reporting that all is not well in bushes world. The fight has not started yet. Once the demo primarys are over and we have choosen a democratic representative the war will have begun! We can lose some battles, we cannot lose the war!

12. I watched Senator Dorgan on c-span
Edited on Fri Sep-26-03 07:01 PM by 0007
do a breakdown on where the 20 billion would be going. He did a beautiful job carving up and putting down the GOP, Paul Bremer and junior.

A North Dakota Senator and Kennedy followed and wasn't too kind either.

The freepers hate Brokaw so I can that many of them are busy right now writing the news network. LOL!

16. The TRUTH isn't a smear.
LIES are what's used to smear people.

Here's an example:

Bush is an ignorant monkey. (smear)

Bush is an ignorant fraud. (non-smear)
