"The Killing Needs To Stop".
Very impressed by his presentation during the town house meeting.
Very sound reasoning.

He deserves a prominent role in the coming democratic administration.

I think Sharpton is right. We need to accept him as a democrat, even embrace him. I can't help but think of the significance of a military general deciding to run as a democrat. And I think the significance of his present stature is more than just about winning the presidency. He really gives gravitas to democrats. They can't appeal to that soft thing with him in such a prominent role in the party. I love it.

1. Bullshit
so we vote for the lesser of two evils and we're supposed to be happy with a Reagan republican?

Fuck that.

All we have is two choices, bad or worse.

Here it is 20 years later in my life and we're getting another Ronald Reagan, who onlydecided to join the race after the GOP realized they couldn't polish the Bush turd enough to fake a plausible win?

Fuck that.

2. It is probably hopeless to say but I don't see ANY reagan
in this man. I remember him as a two term governor and a two term presnit and Clark is as far from him as you can possibly get. Agree to disagree.

a lot of folks have awakened since the reagan years...but the enthusiasm for clark is a disturbing symptom...i agree. i would prefer a more consistently principled individual myself, but i see the choice as ABB, ultimately. and it does suck.

6. It is especially disturbing
for the Democratic Party, IMHO. I prefer a more prepared Democratic choice.

I am feeling again, as I did in November. I haven't moved, where did my party go?

4. Why don't you welcome people to our party???
Instead of turning them away. There are pukes seeing the light already. We may even get Tucker Carlson because of this man. Maybe you aren't really a dem though?

11. That's what I'm saying.
Nobody said to any of us, "you can't really be a democrat" or question any of our right to be accepted. Al is right. Why shouldn't we welcome someone who says he wants to be a democrat now?
It's good to have a military general on board for the good of the party.

And also, please notice that I said "he deserves a prominent role in the next administration". I said (on this thread anyway) nothing about him being president. Why can't he be in the cabinet or something? What's wrong with everyone.

He will definitely bring some different voters to the table.

This is just an honest question, no flame war desired.

14. Free is the Last fo the Mohicans with the Gore thing.
I supported all of Free's Gore posts until today, when I realized that the party is going in a new direction.

12. I guess nobody sees the powerful campaign slogan he gave us tonight.
"The Killing Must Be Stopped"

We really should be rubbing this statement in their faces. Everytime they try some silly argument- the bottom line response is
"the killing must be stopped.
