Why so few military people in top Republican ranks?
There seems to be a "military people need not apply" sign on the Republican party leadership door. McCain and Hegel are the only Republican veterans with any national prominence, and they are both virtual outsiders. We've seen what Bushists do to Democratic vets. Heck, they even gave that treatment to McCain.

OK, maybe the officers who like to vote Republican aren't counting on careers in politics. Maybe they just want jobs with Republican-friendly military contractors when they retire. It has to be something like that. Otherwise why would someone vote for a party in which they stand no chance of ever having a political career?

Military service seems to be a black mark in Republican politics.

6. They are fucking cowards and are breeding a future generation
of cowards - YOUNG REPUBLICANS, who will be tomorrow's chickenhawk chickenshit corporate criminals. They can't serve in the military today because they have other priorities or they have an anal cyst on their ass or because they are white and can't take positions away from minorities. The leader of the republican party is a military deserter. The only reason he "joined" the champagne unit in texas was to get out of going to Vietnam.
