Flip flop Frist wants to filibuster stem cell bills
CNN: Frist, balancing the interests of the White House, Senate Republicans and his own presidential ambitions, wants to require that any stem cell bill get 60 votes instead of the normally required simple majority — 51 if every senator votes. That could preclude the House bill or any of the Senate bills reaching the White House.

3. It's unprecedented to use the filibuster in this manner.
The stem cell bill deserves an up-or-down vote.

6. Oh brother
Is it just him doing this? The Senate pretty much seems in agreement about stem cell research.

7. He watched the stem cells on television, and he saw them saying

"I'm a conscious human being who deserves full rights under the 14th amendment... Why, if I wasn't stuck to this petri dish, I would laugh, dance, and be chipper---- just like Terri Schaivo!"
