Rehnquist will retire when the indictments come down in the Plame case. Bush will no doubt nominate a black, hispanic female version of Clarence Thomas.

They will be pulling every rabid rabbit they can find out of their magic hat then.

What fun it will be.

1. They're all bad. They all suck.
They've all sucked badly since the Federalist Society was created to install a theocratic judicial system.

Remember, this is what they've been jacking off to since Watergate: control of every branch of government. And people want to give it up like that to them?! :wtf:

2. Or dies in office (it could happen)
Of course there would be no real court change then as Rehnquist was one of the hardline conservatives on the court anyways.

3. Having to deal with
SCOTUS seats one at a time doesn't help us.

If it was two (or three) really crappy judges at once, then the big picture would be easier to see. (It would more clearly be an assault -- not just appear as a series of bites.)

And yeah, I also expect the nominations to get worse each time.

Bandits don't come back for less on their next raid, they come back for more.

5. Yea, I'm thinking Janice Brown.
I think that's one of the reasons Shrub fought for her so hard. THAT's the nomination we should go to the mat over!

You can't possible expect Shrub to niminate a liberal, and so far, Roberts doesn't seem nearly as bad as most of the others mentioned!

I'm not saying to roll over and play dead here, but I don't think Roberts is a fight worth going to the mat over.
