Saturday, July 23rd over 300 events will take place across the U.S.

Dear PDA Activists,

PDA and our allies in the www.AfterDowningStreet.org coalition and in Congress have organized over 300 events around the country on Saturday, July 23rd, marking the three-year anniversary of the infamous Downing Street Minutes. We need you to ask C-Span to cover one or more of these events, and to cover them on C-Span 1 or 2 (C-Span 3 has fewer viewers). thanks for the heads-up. First time I ever called C-Span. Now I've got the number programmed in my cell phone speed dial.

The guy who answered the phone knew instantly what I was calling about after a couple words "i'd like to recommend cspan cover the downing street minutes events". he said they've been getting hundreds of calls. he asked where i got the information. i said i saw it on a blog. he asked me to tell others that more calls won't help get it covered (i say, call anyway!). i think he indicated that they will likely try to tape it, and then play it for the first time about a week later.

The way I see it, C-Span is television's only source for free speech.

Trash the biggest sponsor of C-Span on your homepage, then ask them to PLEASE cover an event.
I thought it was concluded that the cable industry was not responsible for the e-mail glitch.

yet, and that if they do it will be aired next week.
