He'd down to one percent in the polls. Seems it was a natural migration for Graham supporters to flip to Clark when we saw that Graham wasn't catching on. Would still love to seem him as VP.
19. I still adore Bob Graham and think he would be a fabulous president
but he doesn't seem to be catching on. I think he's saying all the right things but nobody's listening. I'm very disappointed. Truely believe if he had started a year earlier, he'd be coasting to the nomination today. Can't understand why he waited so long!
21. Who's underestimating Graham. I still think he's the best!
But shallow voters said he wasn't hip or glamorous. If he looked like Clark, Edwards or even Dean with his experiance, he'd be on his way to the white house.
I was impressed with the details about problems put out in a very quick and simple manner. It was good. And the way he responded to the military woman. I apologize. That was exactly the right thing to say for her and the fact that he either knew it or naturally responded that way is very good. I sure hope he gets back with her like he said he would. He was smart, comfortable and respectful. Better than I expected.
That showed more character then I ever in a million years would have expected, especially from older men who don't always 'get it'. It wasn't one of those trite, condescending apologies either. There didn't seem to be any notion of how this was going to sound on the campaign trail or considering any legal consequences or any of that. He seemed to put it all aside and respond to her because she needed that. I was just very impressed by it. I'm glad to hear he met with her.
