How thick is Chris Matthews???

On last night's show Donna what's her face (Gore's campaign manager) told Matthews that she is interested to know if Clark voted for Gore.

Matthews said something to the likes of "Excellent question" and that he would ask Clark next time he was on the show. He brought up the point a few times over the course of the evening.

The funny thing is that Matthews did ask Clark who he voted for only 10 days ago!!!!!!

FYI - it was Gore

1. How think is Matthews?
How high is high? I dunno if there is an objective answer to that question.

8. Sounds like Korsikoff's Psychosis to me
Long term Alkys like Tweety develop Korsikoff's which destroys their short-term Memory.

Tweety needs to go back to his reserved suite at the Betty Ford Clinic!

4. I do not think these guys think, they talk.
The think tanks think or enploy people who did not win when they ran for office. These are the people who are telling these people how to think.

3. Welcome to DU, uconnyc
Matthews seems to be suffering from memory loss when it comes to showing Democrats in a positive light. There was an enormous response to his argument with Joe Conason about having Ann Coulter on his show. Matthews maintained that she wasn't on in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. He then picked a fight with Joe Conason over it.

6. I think it's emblematic of the Republican strategy,
which is repeat a lie until you're caught, and then release a correction late Friday afternoon and hope everyone ignores it.

I've never seen so many people forget so many important details of their lives and so many people just refuse to admit they are wrong, even in the presence of overwhelming evidence or proof to the contrary.

Example: Powell's sudden memory loss about candidly telling the world that Saddam had no WMD and was no threat, just months before the invasion, might be the pinnacle of arrogance.

12. I'm pretty sure this is willful rather than congenital ignorance.
The Kool Kidz in DC have decided that the Dems have to be trashed to protect the Regime, and Matthews doesn't want to have to bend his elbow alone.

I suspect that some of our fellow DUers will ressurect this by next week, asserting that D.B. questioned Clark's Dem credentials.

I can't understand how anybody with a brain can watch the guy. I have tuned in just to see what DUers are always raving about. Mathews is just a cheap whore bleating away for team GOP. Case closed.

13. Something's Happening in TweetyWorld
(Since the other thread was locked.)

******QUOTE*****
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=413424

FauxWatch (the Faux equivalent of CNN's Reliable Sources) host Eric BURNS said this A.M. on Faux that Tweety has been given some kind of guidelines about his interrupting. BURNS said that taking away Tweety's interrupting is taking away his trademark. He also said that Puffball is the highest rated show for MSRNC, which we here are constantly citing sources otherwise.

I've heard Tweety back down and be meek for Don ANUS, VERY strangely shutting up and taking verbal abuse. The other night it was the same with VENTURA after the CA "debate", with VENTURA refusing to take direction and Tweety rolling over.

Tonight there is just a tad of a hint that the BURNS tidbit might have something to it. The rapid fire is toned down and the guests are finishing their sentences. 'course this is no cure in itself for his whoring ways.

No link. Looked on Faux and MSRNC sites and Googled "Burns Matthews".

14. Matthews spent most of his time ....
.... attacking Ted Kennedy, for calling Bush's basis for Iraq a "fraud". When one of the guest said that Matthews was a democrat, Chrissy responded by saying "I'm not much of a Democrat these days."

The corporate media is getting even more anti-democrat. They saw those Bush poll numbers next week, and they know they're going to have to do some serious hustling and lying to get him re-elected. O'Reilly was talking about it last night .

One of their main tricks is to ignore economic policy, and just talk about foreign policy (where Bush is even more insipid). When CNBC does talk about the Economy, it's always, "the recovery's happening, you gotta just take our word for it, and vote for Bush." Things are going to get real nasty over the next year.

15. something is going on with Tweety lately
If you watch him carefully, he's mugging at someone just off camera most of the time. Knowing looks to someone, odd smirks and laughing with someone unseen. It may be a producer, it may be a camera-man, it may be a pal of some kind. But there's definitely someone there distracting him.

It's very unprofessional. He's having trouble concentrating.
