Will this adminstration ever have to answer to the lies
that they have so eloquently spun?

The DSM, The Valerie Plame case amongst other scandals would have been viable evidence for a low level court to convict the wrongdoers of crime and have them sent away to prison. However with this administration, I wonder if it would even be enough to have the whole lot impeached. One would hope so as this web of lies is enough to sicken anyone to the core. Are the American people starting to realize the crap that is being spoon fed to them and starting to think that things could be done better with out Bush &Co. in office?
I really can't tell. There seems to be so much spinning around that it is difficult to discern the mood. (for me at least.)

One can only pray that the American people will be smart enough, that Congress would be smart enough to hold the criminals accountable and to send them away to prison or the Hague, wherever.

I know I am not as politically astute as most of the people here on Du but I am doing my best to let my thoughts out.

1. No. And the public will take it lying down.

2. Perhaps
I really hope so, too! IMO, they will never vacate the position of power they occupy of their own volition. When the economy tanks (the bill is soon due) people may be upset enough to do something.

But, then they could declare martial law, which is what I fear. They can use any terror event on a large scale as an excuse to do so. If that happens, we're in trouble.

3. Martial law is not enforced by robots, but by people, the
military has had it with * and is unlikely to follow orders to harm fellow Americans. Cops, I would think, would not like the federal interference and are probably more than half Dems. * could end up with tanks surrounding the White House with gun barrels pointed towards it, not away. It would certainly be ugly, but the results might be far different than what the neo-cons want.

4. I was just wondering that they who are drunk with power
will soon get so drunk that they the only way back is recourse.
It is true of the saying "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

History has shown that most dictatorships don't last for long, people finally get tired of being oppressed and used for the higher ups' needs.
