I went to John Conyers' town hall meeting on DSM/Rovegate! Met otherDUers!

It was really great. I had never met any DUers so it was a very nice experience.

Conyers spoke, as did Tony Trupiani, Lila Lipscomb (the mother of the killed soldier in Iraq from F9/11), Jim Marcinokowsi, a former CIA operative, Sedler (I forgot his first name - he's a law professor at Wayne State University where the meeting was at). There were two other speakers, whose names escape me. One was a journalist for a local paper and another was a local peace activist.

All the speakers were great and it was nice meeting several DUers - Mrs. Grumpy, SharonRB, MichOtter, and several others, who I want to apoligize for not remembering their names.

Went to my local Plame/DSM houseparty and loved the conference call with everyone. It was a little hard to hear Joseph Wilson sometimes so we were all straining. He's a very interesting man. And I love Rep. Conyers and Randi. It's great to hook up with other progressives and organize.

9. We were down on the right had side in the first row of chairs behind the

tables. We were pretty much the only ones there for quite some time (we got there quite early) , along with an interesting woman from Northville...It was truly stunning to see how many people showed up. It was a Great day to be a Democrat.

I actually decided to go at the last minute. Mrs Grumpy posted a message just before she left and then I checked the MI forum and it said where they were all meeting. I'm glad I wasn't any later then I woudn't have seen 'em either.
