I agree with the sentiment of the post though. This sort of Tipper Gore posturing, while the whole country and Constitution are whisked right out from under our feet, is why I have little use for Hilary Clinton as a possible Presidential candidate.

split open. I've held someone's split open head in my hands before. I'm just saying that that particular image looks fake to me. It looks like a rubber mask that's collapsed in. That's all. I don't have 100 percent confidence that it IS fake because I'm not a forensic photo analyst. Just saying my impression.

where I reviewed numerous forensic photos, including pictures where people had their head split open and then their bodies sat around for days, weeks, months, etc. They didn't look dissimilar to that picture. It may look like a rubber mask that's collapsed in, because that's what happens. Still, I can't vouch for it's authenticity either. However, I wouldn't doubt if it was real.

is my guess or it would be a lot bloodier. It is a well documnted and real shot though.

If a head was bashed or blown open with such violence so as to open up the skin like this, and with essentially the back/top half of the skull missing, it would be massively bloody as well as a lot of blood and brain and bone fragments around.

If this is someone who'd had their brains blown out, and the corpse was subsequently transported to some other area, stored, meticulously cleaned etc. I suppose you could get a result like this. Again, I don't have access to the source or story where you got the photo from, so I don't know what it purports to depict aside from someone's head.

If you read my initial post on this thread, I agree completely with the sentiment behind your post.

We had a bunch of threads on DU questioning various aspects of the Nick Berg video. I just made the comment that this one pic looks kinda fake to me. We don't have to get into some kind of Zapruder (sp?) film discussion about it, we can just agree to disagree. I don't doubt that there are thousands or tens of thousands of instances of civilian carnage from bombs and tank rounds, including many kids. Common sense tells me that. I'm not some kind of troll saying that all evidence of "collateral damage" among Iraqi civilians is fake or whatever, because I don't believe that to be true. :hi:
