This may be a bit naive but...
.. when you are under investigation, shouldn't you have your security clearance removed?

Why hasn't Helen asked that specifically in the DPB's?

1. Because they think this will be decided by...
...spin and manipulation of public opinion, rather than by special prosecutors and judges? Because they don't care about process so much as about just winning at all costs--no matter how much it hurts America?

In their scenario, revoking security clearances would be too much of an admission to the public that something about them might be wrong.

2. A bunch of Dems in the Senate tried to pass a bill
to get Rove to give up his clearance until this issue was addressed; naturally, the repugs overrode them which indicates to me they're now supporting traitors. Surprise...:eyes:

4. Of course you are right.
However, the White House's refusal to cooperate with the investigation, to level with the media, and to take the steps necessary to deal with this series of offenses, is actually a good thing. It shows that they are either stubborn beyond the ability to be objective, or participating in a criminal cover-up.

Asking the question you have, especially in the most public of forums, is a great benefit to the democrats. Everyone on DU who reads your post should "bookmark" it in their mind. The beauty of such a question is that it not only allows people to think, but it gently forces them to confront the obvious. Great job!

6. Have thought the same thing many times
at least while there is an investigation going on.....his security clearance should be suspended....perhaps now is a good time to take that vacation ; I'm amazed that he still has it
