I keep reading here ones think the repubs will steal the election which is very disheartening to a new voter like me. Now if that is truly believed and there is over a year to the election what are we going to do about it other than moan and complain?. The power truly does belong to the people even if they don't know it or have been trodden down so long they have just given up. WHY is this not circulated now as a drum beating till election w/o letup so everyone will be alerted/stay alerted and not be caught off guard. If you know a theif is going to break in your house/steal your car do you not prepare in advance? Thieves are usally not stopped by their by conscience but by ACTION of others.
If WE have homeland security then we need to get going with voter/election security before there want be any homes to secure.
Going to the polls is fine but if the election is stolen then what good is going? The candidate that wins the primary must be tough and willing to stand tall with the voters for fair elections and not just campaign for votes and then go silent/ back down when blatant injustices are seen after the election. Maybe that is a pledge voters need to hold them to for their vote.
DOES THE SUPREME COURT NEED TO BE PUT ON NOTICE THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL NOT ALLOW ANOTHER ELECTION TO BE DECIDED BY THE COURTS?
3. If you don't vote then they won't even need to steal it.

Vote. Not voting is not an option.

You make a very, very good point here that I have not seen elsewhere. We need a candidate that is prepared to fight if/when any votes are stolen in '04. A candidate who has his battle plan in place well before the election.
What you can do: Join the "election reform" meetup. Read the BBV posts in DU. Call your state's SOS's (Secretary of State) office and ask questions. Go to your SOS's website. Use google and news.google to get up on the issue. Talk to you friends and family. With just a little time each day you will be up to speed in no time.
