I find it very interesting that Fitzgerald was able to keep the investigation so completely leak free for two years and now seems to have completely lost control.
What's up with that? Two years of total silence and now there is a leak a day from staff, administration insiders, witnesses and just about everybody.
7. I have no agenda, just curious what other DUer think about the
sudden release of inside information after two years of silence.
I don't see how all the leaks are in Rove's favor. I welcome your discussion of how the rumors of perjury help him out or how the memo marked Secret, or the 12 hour head's up work in the administration's favor.
I am well aware that neither the Grand Jury nor the Prosecutor's office has leaked anything. Leaks are coming from people who have heard testimony--clerks or aids or the like.
For two years there were no leaks from anyone to speak of. Now it's one a day almost. What's changed? Why are people who wouldn't speak before willing to speak now? Asking strictly for speculation here.
So, Walt, why are you ascribing some agenda to the question?
5. I think you are right, Fitzgerald is clean on any dissemination of
information. He has a really good reputation for being a stand up guy.
What I find interesting is that every speaks on the condition of anonymity because the "prosecutor has instructed not to speak of the investigation" It worked for two years, why not now?
