What if...?
The "liberals" formed their own Third Party? They would accept the fact that they would be a minority, whether or not they really are is not debatable. They would accept that they are a minority. They would let the Democrats and Republicans fight it out for political supremacy. Then they would support whichever Party was closest to their philosophy whenever the election came around. Who would they support and which Party would win? The Republicans or the Democrats?Which Party would win?

There are a lot of deep complications in such a scenario...

1. What if those elements that facilitate corporate cronyism were
made persona non grata and made to form their own party?

All it would take is lots of booing.

3. Would I be allowed to absentee vote after I've fled to Canada?

4. And maybe the fundies could form their own "fourth" party and vote
for whichever party most closely resembles their philosophy...as a liberal, i feel like the choice is clear. Although sometimes it feels like my vote is for the lesser of two evils, I cannot fathom a scenario where the republican party would closely reflect my philosophy, just as fundies can probably never fathom voting Democrat. Although, if we formed our own interest group, we could get lobbyists, pay for tom delay to go golfing in another country, let bill frist use our private jet..you know, grease the palms of the powerful. Or we can just hope that honesty and decency return to the political arena...
