Anybody Else Worried?
I get this feeling that another 9/11 is coming, and this time it will be the West Coast that gets hit. I just have this gut that something is not right, and the people running our government have just the type of character to orchestrate something to drive us into war with Iran. Or deepen our resolve to fight Iraq.

If I were a betting man, I'd say it would happen out here in California. Yet another blue state, with a repub governor. Too coincidental perhaps. It's just been some time since 9/11, and this administration must want to instill more fear into us than some bombs in England obviously could.

6. I hate to say it...
...but the more and more DUMBya's pole numbers take a shit, the more and more likely the USA is getting another LIHOP or MIHOP attack. And I seriously doubt it'll be a nuke. I mean, why? When a truckbomb can do the same ammount of FEAR INSTILLING?!

And other thing, I am SO tired of this bunch of neo-CONs saying "OH WE HAVE TO FEAR THE TERRORIST"! Man, FUCK YOU! Whatever happened to what Mr. FDR said?! Something about only fearing fear?! I though that us AMERICANS were TOUGH and READY TO ROLL?! No no no, we gotta fear Osama on his goddamn donkey mackin' old bits of hoof for supper!!!!!!!

FEAR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, BUSH!

7. I agree with you that it's really scary right now, but....
I don't think that's what Georgie wants to happen. Seriously, it would be a political disaster for him IMHO. And if he's involved in a MIHOP, then the mob with pitchforks really WILL be chasing him down Pennsylvania Ave.

12. No..it won't be a political disaster
Because martial law would ensue and they would shoot to kill anyone who didn't follow it. Folks like us will be labelled insurgents. It will be the ultimate showdown of good vs. evil.

the Plame investigation. These people don't give a shit about the American people, they are cold, callous, and compassionless and will do whatever it takes to stay in power. Hate to use the Star Wars analogy but Palpatine said it best: "Once he became so powerful he was only worried about one thing... losing his power" And I wouldn't put nukes past anyone, alot of money has been spent on "tactical" nukes in the last few years, you know in private these assholes are figuring out ways to use them...

on edit... it's not what I see that scares me but what I don't see..

I am in LA and I think your idea is right on the money. Ahnuld has a lot of trouble on his hands with his popularity taking a nosedive of late. And those decadent godless entertainment industry people are a tempting target for the RW. The only trouble I see is, we are SO spread out here that you could hit Hollywood and still not have much effect on my neighborhood other than people losing a workplace to commute to or some industry colleagues. Hard to wipe out the whole city. That would take a cluster of HYDROGEN bombs.

16. No? If people in general took such time constantly worrying about
what could happen, no one in their right mind would ever live on or near the shore lines in fear of tsunami's, or leave in California for fear of the great big rumble or...you get my picture.

Trully a waste of time worrying about such things, one could use such time worrying about children starving in this world, thousands upon thousands of citizens both young and old dying from lack of valuable health care...well you get the picture..

Or Heaven forbid, the wars continuing unabated, thousands more of our soldiers and other innocents being slain in unjust wars, a Repub actually holding onto the whitehouse in 08, those in my mind are foremost our biggest worries at the moment...

According to recent reports, a terrorist attack called "American Hiroshima" is coming this August 6th, the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima:

32. You think Lancelot Link is going to be the only President
with the distinction of not one (arguably not 2, as the citizens of Montgomery County (one of them my sister and her child) and others in that area who had to be random moving targets for several weeks would attest) but TWO major terrorist attacks ON HIS WATCH? You think the "strong, bold, tough on terrsm" leader is going to be saddled with that distinction?

I wouldn't count on it. This guy is already the "no significant real accomplishment" president. The only two turds propping up this clown are Karl Rove and Roger Ailes. 9/11 and Vietraq are skinned and cleaned out birds. I mean, at least Nixon started the EPA and Reagan, however superficially, warmed US and Soviet relations somewhat. What does Bush have? ZILCHO. BUPKIS. NADA. This guy has done and continues to do SHIZ-NIT for any normal person besides his financiers since his first politicoup.

If a second major TA on American soil happened, even the biggest Bush analingusing JACKASS would start having suspicions and the rest of us would be storming the streets, demanding that SOMEthing be done. Or his resignation

The cure for this is: if anyone finds ANYthing on the net like an impeding warning that gets buried or something - report it and collect it. At least you'd be able to say "you knew" if it does happen. At best, someone would take you seriously after a while.
