"This is the most obtuse, head-in-the-sand, ostrich policy I've seen"
Kerry's been giving a fiery floor speech on the energy bill.

He described meeting with NASA and how it is now a certainty that the Arctic ice sheet will melt. "Say goodbye to Florida..."

He asked "Do any of you get letters from your constituents saying I want dirtier air?"

Doesn't understand how the congress can blindly ignore all the scientists across the globe.

Addressing all of the problems with the bill.

2. Did John Kerry say.....
..."This is the most obtuse, head-in-the-sand, ostrich policy I've seen"? If he did, well good for him.

5. He surely did!
I may have mixed up the order of the adjectives, but I'm positive that that is what I heard...

Too bad democracy depends on a free press, because this nation has no independent media anymore.

17. Florida! How about every city on the ocean or near the oceans.
NYC - LA, Galveston, Seattle etc. That includes Europe and every country on the planet.

4. Troops protecting oil
I liked that too, he addressed that a couple of months ago too. This is an awesome speech. If people in this country heard it, there's no way they'd support this piece of crud bill.

now. He said it at every rally and speech I heard.

The problem was that the news shows would edit it out. If you didn't see it or watch Cspan, or go to Kerry's website, the GOPcontrolled media wasn't going to report it, let alone DISCUSS it as the public would expect and deserve.

9. Do you know when there will be a replay? Everyone should see it.
I heard Mike Malloy talk the other night about this bill, things I hadn't even realized were in it. And tonight Kerry addressed them all.

10. Where the hell was his rhetoric during the debates!
Would have been better then. He's really sharp, he should have nailed Bush to the wall and showed him on national TV for the lying fuck he is.

13. Much of it was
I've head almost all of that during the campaign. It's hard to get a 30 minute speech into 2 minute debate responses.

11. Meanwhile, Shrub is listening from the White House
trying to figure out what the hell an obtuse is. Too bad it's Laura's night out a Chippendale's.

That was a brilliant floor speech Senator Kerry!

Democrats need to make the Republicans own up to all of their bad policies. Telling it like it is!

One of two things will happen: the plan will be defeated, or the R's look bad for passing it. Either way we win. Keep it up! Don't Give in!
