Please help give free mamograms by clicking this
A favor to ask It only takes a minute....

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

http://www.thebreastcancersite.com

I added this to my favorites to remind me to click it every day.

2. The hunger site has links to five other worthy sites.
Breast cancer, child health, child literacy, the rainforest and animal shelter. If you click on each of them, you'll spend approx. 20 seconds if your computer uses cable.

15. you can do a lot of help for a lot of causes by bookmarking or
homepage making these sites for everyday clicking:

www.theanimalrescuesite.com (this has rainforest, breast cancer, animal rescue, books for schools, child health and hunger) I click on it every day and a corporation pays to help each one. Do it every day and save someone. Very simple. Do it every day.

THere's another one I do this with too and I will edit this post for it to add it when I get home. If thousands of people would do this then there would be help being made. If you have no money, you can still do good every day.

19. I had no idea this site existed.
Thanks for the mention of adding it to favorites. I just did that, and will pass this along to all women I know.

It's nice to know that this one little act of kindness we do every day adds up to a free mammogram for someone who cannot afford it otherwise.

20. It takes a whole LOT of acts of kindness to equal one mammogram
Edited on Fri Jul-29-05 07:35 PM by mcscajun
Not trying to throw cold water on a totally worthwhile effort: I just want folks to realize how much good we need to do to accomplish one result. So the everyday click is really, really important. So is spreading the word.

From Snopes.com:

"...one click does not magically provide a mammogram to a needy woman — it takes 45,000 clicks, not just one. Averaging 58,000 clicks a day, The Breast Cancer Site provides funding for approximately 1.3 mammograms a day. Visitors are also not prohibited from clicking more than once; they just can't do so more than once a day."
