I'm very pissed at the "Best of" Air America Radio.
This "Best of..." crap has to go.

It's so bad now that it's becoming a joke.

They shouldn't be slacking off on real-time broadcasts; they should be working towards becoming a 24-hour (live) resource. They're going backwards.

There a plenty of qualified, informed, interesting people out there who would be willing to fill in the gaps for a few bucks an hour. Frankly, they'd be happy to do it for free.

6. I'm leaving the computer for a week.
The weekend is guaranteed to be full of Best of, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for M-F.

regular people do. Air America has the most influance in this area thanks to people like us and now they are pretty much giving us the finger.

But thanks for the link, first time I heard of the show.

AAR needs to take a cue from KGO, or even Ed Schultz. It ain't complicated.

They might as well play unedited footage from the DNConvention.

19. I can understand that
But I've found Franken to often be behind the news a couple of days. And not to be as progressive in his opinions. For instance, he was slow to accept that the voting machines probably lost us more than one election in '04. He was so frustrating in his acceptance of the results.

Btw, hitting the Greatest page here at DU can get you up to speed pretty quick - as you probably already know. Just trying to console a little. I've missed Franken's guests this week.

I've also been listening to Tom, but I don't want AAR to go away! I think it's been a BIG help to the Dems. I want to hear their reasoning for everyone going on vacation at the same damn time!

9. there was a live broadcast
fill-in during Franken's time slot this week in LA. I listened 4 a while but went back 2 Hartman cuz the guy - John Rendel? Randall? is a bit strident.

13. I love when new people show up.
I literally NEVER like (lib/prog) newbies right off the bat. Even with my favorites I originally took a contrarian approach.

But I usually end up listening, and they almost always win me over; if not on the issues then on their willingness to think and ability to make me think.

Best of shows.

Lack of complete shows on Satellite radio which is why I haven't yet bit the bullet and subscribed.

Not being in my market.

I have found that some of the Shows have guest hosts... remember Randi's hiatus... and recently Rachel had some guest hosts.... so did Laura... I remember Hartmann actually subbed for Randi.

But then there are the shows that don't have replacements.. it may be at the request of the personality....

Point is, guest hosting has been done. Just not enough.. maybe when we complain and ask for guest hosts, we should list a few of the ones we have heard. Except for Sam, what a trooper he can't be the only fill in guy.

10 minutes til Randi! What a bunch of addicts we are!!!! I can't wait for my fix!!!
