Children Named after Corporate Brand Names
AT age 3, Timberland is too young to be embarrassed about being named after a bestselling brand of footwear, but his mother cringes...."His daddy insisted on it because Timberlands were the pride of his wardrobe..

..five other Americans were named Timberland in 2000, according to social security records...in 2000, 49 children were named Canon, followed by 11 Bentleys, five Jaguars and a Xerox. There is also a Gouda and a Bologna, who are named after the cheese and the sausage rather than the places...Foreign brands are regarded as increasingly chic: Chanel is popular among doting mothers, and several boys have been named after a Japanese family car called Camry...

24 children were named Unique...

5. German parents named their daughter "Pepsi Carola"
It was blocked by a German law banning ptentially embarassing names, but a court granted the parents their right to name their daughter. Other names mentioned by the press in recent years were: Grammophon, Sputnik, Störenfried, Verleihnix, Merlin, Winnetou, Pumuckl. Austrian parents tried Bierstübl and Ho Chi Minh - without success.

"Oh RAHN jelo" and "Leh MAHN jelo" (phonetically)

edit: Before being too harsh, keep in mind that some of these cases are not due to brand-name-loyalty-gone-haywire but due to a tradition in some cultures of naming a children after objects noticed right after they're born.
