Bush brings in an Iraqi ringer
On Hardball last night, Chris Matthews interviewed an Iraqi lady who was for keeping the troops in Iraq because they were doing so much good. Seems she wasn't what she was supposed to be. Maybe Matthews should be told about this....

I saw a few passing references to "May Hasan Lamotte" yesterday in the print media. She was portrayed as "an Iraqi woman who just had to drive to Crawford to tell Cindy Sheehan that her son died for a noble cause. One news report yesterday said: *"An Iraqi woman who moved recently to the United States, drove with her husband from Washington, D.C., to thank Sheehan for her sacrifice. But the woman, May Hasan Lamotte, 37, did not agree with Sheehan's call to pull the troops out of Iraq. I came after reading about Miss Cindy. They think their children are dead for nothing, and I am one who got freedom. I am grateful for her son and American soldiers. Everybody thinks (Casey) died for nothing. He gave his life as many other brave soldiers have to give me and my country freedom," she said.

This "Iraqi woman" then showed up on Hardball to swiftboat Cindy. Something about her didn't strike me as being right. There was a passing reference to her being married to an American journalist.

The faux Iraqi woman on Hardball is married to Greg Lamotte with Voice of America (VOA). I know stuff about them, but decided to find their public website, lest I inadvertently disclose classified info.

1. "I am the one who got freedom"
To do what? be forced to dress in a burka? be forced to travel everywhere with your husband otherwise be subject to a beating and rape? welcome to the new Islamic Republic baby. That's the "freedom" you've got coming to you......Oh you don't even live in Iraq you don't know what it's really been like there these last couple of years....

4. Wonder if Matthews will expose the fraud on his show tonight
I also wonder how this woman managed to get hooked up with MSNBC and other networks without them knowing that she had questionable connections and motives.

7. And, NOW if she returns to Iraq, she'll have to don the burka, not vote
anymore, and live under extremist Islamic law.

8. you would think in this day and age the "whopper"
would get less prevalent, instead of more.

Whichever way you serve it up, we went in there for Weapons Of Mass Destruction, Period. What part of "Period" do we not get?

Oh . . .. the part where they lied to us about WMD, and our soldiers came home dead and maimed? Got that. Got pictures of that.

So why is it again that we are STILL there? "freedom", "wars on terror", "democracy", and all that other horseshit post-mortem spin comes after the period. Period.

Our army isn't big enough so we have sent our state national guards there, kept people in past their release dates, extended tours of duty, and now we're recruiting 16 and 17 year olds!

Ms. Lamotte, you have blood on your hands, not purple ink.

11. Yes all the make-up, the eye shadow especially
I didn't even wear that much in the 60's.

And when Chris was interviewing her, she didn't want to say that the "bad" people were other Iraqi's attacking the U.S. troops, because that would suggest that the problem would stop if we pulled out...She just kept saying "bad" people...
