Garth Brooks cuts a deal with Wal-Mart
Country music guy Garth Brooks is hanging his Stetson at Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Two months after ending his 16-year relationship with Capitol Records, Brooks has used his newfound freedom to cut a deal to sell his music exclusively through the world's largest retailer, the company announced Friday.

1. And I had been planning on getting more of his Albums
If I find them elsewhere, I still may buy them.

But if they are only going to be availible at WalMart, then I guess I just won't get them.

3. I wonder how little he's selling to walmart for.
It cannot be "how much" as walmart drives prices down.

8. Well, there he goes, shitting on the elderly and
the locked-in workers who are going to be burned to death sometime in the next Triangle Shirtwaist disaster...

Guys, just buy his albums USED on half.com when they come out. Then we can bulldoze them.

GARTH BROOKS HATES HEALTH INSURANCE FOR WAL-MART EMPLOYEES!!

10. Not just mandatory abortions, but the greatest number of abortions
Edited on Sat Aug-20-05 09:30 AM by Straight Shooter
I forget the name of the web site offhand, the one which compiles abortion statistics, but it lists number of abortions per country and as a percentage. China is number one. Don't tell that to any bush supporter though. They might have to consider for a moment to put their money where their mouth is. That's quite a dilemma for them, because money trumps ethics and morality every time for a bushie.

edit: Garth lost his edge a long, long time ago. His cutting a deal with W-Mart is just another compromise for his soul.

9. It's all about the money.
Remember when he wanted royalties from sales of his CDs at used CD stores?

Not sure if he's stupid or sneaky, but following that logic, he should also have given royalties BACK every time someone took their Garth CDs in to the used stores.
