Democrats and foreign policy

Many people assert that although the Democrats have different tactics than the GOP they still are happy to help multinational corporations overthrow foreign governemnts. I agree with most of the Democrats domestic policies and consider myself a Democrat but after reading work from people like Noam Chompsky I am finding it very hard to support Dems. Should I be taking a cynical look at the Dems as Noam and many on the left do, or are they miles better on foreign policy? I am looking for some real examples and not just yes or no answers. I really don't know if I could continue voting Dem if they actively supress working people in other parts of the world.

Therefore, yes, Democrats have created/implemented/supported foreign policy that runs counter to what we know is the morally correct thing to do.
Adam Smith did not have this in mind when he wrote "Wealth of Nations"
This whole Iraq thing is nothing but a business deal. Hell, if the average American knew what goes on behind the scenes to provide us with our sacred "American way of life" they'd shit!
While we are told our "American way of life" is what makes this country special what is really meant is corporate interests love the system. Raw, unfettered, insatiable capitalism running amok.....that is the American way of life that lies behind the curtain.

Accept the fact that US foreign policy has always been for the benefit of intl traders and multinational corporations. Almost never for the benefit of people, here or abroad. TPTB will never allow a US president that might threaten their preeminance.

Nevertheless, the strategy Dems tend to use is far less harmful to the world. Dems will occasionally support efforts toward intl cooperation and human rights, whereas the right is far more militant. They aim to control the world through fear and violence. Democrats are far more likely to work toward developing an international system that makes war less likely.
