"Noble Cause" -- Liberation of the Iraqi people?
That's kind of the meme that's going around. What do I tell freepers who throw that at me?

2. The Iraq War is nation building. We were not attacked.
Nation building is not a noble cause. This is something the UN was formed to do.

4. If I wanted to liberate my neighbor's wife because her husband
was abusing her, I would be told that only she can decide if she wants liberation. Why is it that these idiots can never see that true democratic reform has always, and will always be an inside job.

I pray that someday the American people will come to the painfully realization that it is we, who are the bad guys here and in many times in the past.

In the 1800's it was the native american that was the terrorist. Burning settler's homesteads because the white people were bringing deadly disease to their families, and raping the land that gave them sustenance. I would fight to the death to protect my people if I were one of them!

I am really sick of American arrogance when it comes to armed conflict. We seem to never have the moral high ground. Accuse me of hating America if you like, but don't tell me that we are saints.

Sometimes America really sucks!

6. Tell them you'll get back to them after the Iraqi's new
Constitution creates an Islamic Republic. Tell them that they better start working on a new "Nobel Cause" because they are down to their last reason for supporting the war and that reason is heading out the window, along with Iraqi women's right to vote...

7. I think every war ever has been labeled a 'noble cause' by the
ones who initiated it. Ronnie said that Viet Nam was a noble cause in the 1980's. I would ask the freeper just when it was that the invasion of Iraq or Bush's Folly, as I like to call it, was determined to be for the liberation of the Iraqis. It certainly wasn't mentioned in PNAC's writings, nor in W's SOTU address in 2003, nor in any speech until AFTER it became 110% clear that there were no WMDs nor 9/11 connections. I think it was reason number 28 given by * for the invasion.

8. Not our problem
There are other noble causes in this world...what shall we do take on all the f--king problems. We probably help make the mess in Iraq anyway. Oil is a real noble cause, or is it lying that is a noble cause???? Can't seem to make up my f--king mind. Get out now, and save American lives!!!
