Does anyone know if it is being broadcast anywhere, net, radio, tv? ----------------------------------------------------------- Kucinich, Former Intelligence Officers To Hold News Briefing On The Administration's Use Of Intelligence In the Lead-Up To The War In Iraq WASHINGTON - July 11 - Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) will host a news briefing with former intelligence officers on the use of intelligence before the war in Iraq. The briefing will take place Tuesday, July 15th at 11am in room 2203 of the Rayburn House Office Building. Joining Kucinich at the briefing will be Ray McGovern, a former CIA analyst, and Andrew Wilkie, a senior intelligence analyst at Australia's Office of National Assessments (ONA) until his resignation a week before the war.
Ray McGovern's career at CIA spanned 27 years, from the administration of John Kennedy through that of George H. W. Bush. During the 80s, Mr. McGovern prepared the President's Daily Brief and briefed it one-on-one to the Vice President and Secretaries of State and Defense.
Andrew Wilkie resigned from ONA in protest against the way intelligence was used to justify Australia's support for war on Iraq. Mr. Wilkie's responsibilities in ONA included analysis of weapons of mass destruction and global terrorism. Earlier, Mr. Wilkie served over 20 years as an Australian Army officer, reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel.
