If Bush were a smart man
He wouldn't let this turn ugly.
He would crawl out from under his bed and ride his pony out of the gates of his ranch--address the protesters directly, then address Cindy individually. He would then ride further up the road and let the supporters know that he has this under control and their presence is not needed.
By doing this...everything would be over. All groups could pack up and go home. The press would tout his peacemaker abilities and all would be lovely and ducky.
He owns this mess in Iraq. He needs to take responsibility for it.
However, Bush is not a smart man. He is an arrogant asshole.
