I s Davis even running a campaign?

does he expect his high profile visitors to get all Free publicity? I just don't beleive he cannot afford any tv add time (at least in my section of the state, Coachella Valley) I haven't seen 1 yet all the publicty goes to Arnold. Has he conceded the election so soon? Arnold signs are sTARTING to go up everywhere =nothing from Davis This is a vote rich area, and it IS a statewide election , what gives? Is the rest of the state like this?

But most of them don't have his face on them. He apparently is trying to win the campaign in LA--where he thinks he has the most sympathetic audience--and in SF.

Arnold gets most of the publicity here, too (that's why it's LA), but it's not as bad as the national coverage has been.

say on what goes into news. Campaign TV news covers what he wants said. There is always twice as much time spent on Arnold as the rest of the candidates altogether (It turns out that News is not covered under equal time.)

Whenever something comes up that makes Arnold look bad it is alway couched that the Democrats allege, yet they take allegations from hate radio and possibly say critics of Davis, Bustamante etc. not mentioning that it's likely Republican operatives.

The only way we even have a future is to do what we did with Bush and keep on him for the duration of his governorship.

When he does something unfair or says something creepy make it heard loud and clear.

People don't even know that Pete Wilson, Arnold's chief advisor, took away our right to overtime pay after 8 hours of work (by fiat through the CIWC) that the CA legislature passed a bill to override that and of course he vetoed it. Then after Gray became governor they passed another one AB60 which he signed so Gray is responsible for bringing back such a simple right as overtime pay after 8 hours work.

Our news, the Davis campaign managers neither sources never said a thing about that. And now with the Bush administration wanting to take away overtime pay entirely, it was noted in one publication that CA overtime law protects it, well, now with Pete Wilson 2 in Sacramento, we can forget that. I imagine they will do away with it again. In fact, as you see the Republicans use their platform for constant propaganda. I expect to see the Democratic clout in the legislature cut down big time.

In fact our TV news media and to a lesser extent the press have to be pushed into reporting things that are unfavorable to conservatives. Just like with treasongate. When a certain number of people already know about something or really want to know about something somebody will probably get the ball rolling and do a report on it.

Hate radio gets it's stuff out because they can reach a lot of people.

We really have nothing that will reach people in their trucks or on the job like the old radio.

But mixed message boards can work pretty effectively if we use them.

but they are pretty lame. Both he and Bustamante are being hit hard regarding the energy debacle but neither of them are fighting back.

California was ripped off by over $10 billion and one of the architects of that insane system, Pete Wilson is the main power behind Ahnold. Not only that, Ahnold, Wilson and a couple of others had meetings with Ken Lay regarding deregulation. They can pin some of it on Ahnold and he's doing nothing.

I've almost reached the stage where I'm ready to concede that he deserves to lose. I've always thought he sucked anyway.

but I don't know about Coachella. They could be picking and choosing markets. I've seen San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara , Ventura County , LA County , and Orange County this week.

Maybe in Coachella they are waiting until the weekend.

that Davis should persistently challenge Arnold to a debate. It may not happen, but it will cement the idea in voters' minds that it's a contest between Davis and Schwarzenegger.

Right now, Davis is out of sight and out of mind in most coverage of the candidates.

That said, not living in the state, I haven't seen much ammunition coming out of the Davis camp. He really should have gotten vicious. As unfortunate as it is, vicious gets soundbites and vicious makes news and vicious equals backbone to a lot of people.

Vicious, but truthful, attacks on Arnie and the entire GOP machine would have been a good course to take from the beginning. Now it will look desperate.
