John Henry Johnson letter: 'Baghdad Cindy' disgrace to nation
The Forum
Published Sunday, August 28, 2005
During World War II, we had to listen to Tokyo Rose, then came Hanoi Jane (Fonda) and now we have Baghdad Cindy (Sheehan) spreading treason ... what a disgrace she represents.

Yes, she lost a son, so have many others who have lost loved ones during the time of war. War is not pretty, but saving our lifestyle is eminent, and those against our efforts should move to Iraq or Iran and stay there.

I lost my dad at Tarawa, my wife lost her older brother over Hungary flying bombers into Hitler’s oil patch. I lost two cousins in World War II and another in Korea, but we enjoy what they made possible for us.

The likes of Baghdad Cindy is a disgrace to all us Americans.

John Henry Johnson

Detroit Lakes, Minn.

Maybe this guy should visit Iraq for a few weeks to see for himself what war is like. You'd think with all the dead from his family he'd be a little less gung-ho about killing people to maintain his life style. But as long as it is someone else dying, he doesn't seem to care.
You will notice there is no mention of him being in the military. Also he seems to be a little behind in his talking points.
Just another local Moran.

2. Actually it should be "Baghdad bush" - he loves
Iraq so much, he should go there and be their dictator - he's fast becoming the dictator here - republicans brown nosing every step of the way. They have to have "their leader" telling them what to do.

13. I think Cheney is the Baghdad Bob of America
His comments on the insurgency being in its last throes, with his other comments, like pre-war saying it would be a matter of weeks, not months, that we'll be in Iraq (up to almost 125 weeks now, Dick?)

3. Saving our ;ifestyle is eminent
You have the entire Republican justification for the war in that phrase. I will never be Republican for that reason.

7. Well
none of the other 15 excuses for our invasion of iraq have proven true. At least this is somewhat close to the truth.

6. So tell me Johnson . . . . which of those wars that you listed
was started based on lies and false pretense by an administration was owned heart and soul by corporate interests and the PNAC?

8. You don't speak for me, John
"The likes of Baghdad Cindy is a disgrace to all us Americans."

You don't speak for me, John, or the rest of us represented by the 90% polled who think Cindy has as much a right to her opinion as you do yours.

9. please respond with your own LTTE
that is one of the best ways to fight these people. If the editor of your newspaper has 100 anti-Cindy letters and none in support, then he or she will start to think that maybe nobody in their area supports Sheehan.

But, if there is a balanced amount, or more pro-Sheehan, then the editor will give our side more credence.

12. I thought Baghdad was on our side? We were at war with Tokyo
and Hanoi...Baghdad is the capitol of a country we're occupying, right?

I'm so confused.
