Dropping the ball in the Clark campaign?
There is a web site, people are reportedly collecting money, and he says he's a candidate for president...

Although General Clark announced September 17th that he is running for President, he as not yet officially filed a statement of candidacy, which is required to be filed within fifteen days of raising or spending $5,000. He also has not designated or authorized a principal campaign committee to raise or spend funds. Questions may remain about early fundraising and it's relation to the official campaign.

Sounds like these folks really have their act together...not.

1. Clark is a DLC whore
This is the DLC trying to stop Dean and Kucinich because LIEberman can't win. Clark is there last resort.

2. His candidacy is a last ditch attempt
at putting the Establisment before the People.

It will fail.

4. I hope you realize that if Howard Dean gets the nomination
he'll have to mend fences with this "establishment" you so despise.

The entire party will be needed to beat b*sh. Hopefully Dean will work with, not for them.

8. I object to the "LIE" and "Whore" smears against DEMS...
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 08:09 PM by Dr Fate
just so you know- and just so lurkers do not think all DUers are so anti-DEM.

BTW- I like Dean and Kusinich- and my #1 choice is Kerry...

We DEMS need to show more unity...

I'm not sure if calling Lieberman a "Liar" and Clinton's friend Clark a "Whore" even reflects the truth- I'm positive that it is poor srtategy if we DEMS want to be united- it's the only way we will defeat Bush...

I think ALL the candidates are misguided in following the tradition of attacking each other during primaries- I wish they would stand united against Bush...

...we DUers could show the candidates that this is not what we want...

...let's stand united against Bush and stop characterizing good guys as "Liars" and "Whores"

28. I will probably stop posting here, and I've been lurking and then posting
on DU for two years. It's been a haven for frustrated liberals, like myself, who hate *. But this seemingly neverending nutty Clark bashing is just too much. I keep hoping that the trolls and fanatics for other Dem candidates will disappear or lighten up, but nooooo. :argh:

but since you don't care for Clark your "concern" for his candidacy seems a bit, um, disingenuous, for lack of a better word.

15. maybe he really
didnt know if he was going to run for pres. until short time before he made the announcement? If so its reasonable to assume that he and his campaign staff were concentrating on the issues (formulating a healthcare plan, economic plan, etc.) rather than worrying about things much less important in the long run. "The devil is in the details," well I say dont get bogged down in the details. Look at the larger picture of who he is and what he stands for and what his positions are. Not "Oh my god the man forgot about some beaurucratic red tape."

21. Everybody has to take of the details.
You. Me. Clark. Everybody. As he is finding out to his chagrin, I'm sure. He's lucky it's early on in the campaign when he still has time to get it before it really does hurt him.

19. Again, I will say this
If Clark supporters wish to gain and maintain the respect of fellow DUers, we should give them all the same respect, regardless of who they support. Bashing another candidate does not reflect well on you or yours.
