Rush Scandals as LeakGate Distraction : Theory Clearing House!

Okay here is what I've thought of and gathered from other posts:

A. Conservative writer David Brock laid out in his book "Blinded By the Right" the fact that the RNC, Rush and Drudge are in constant contact.

B. Brock and other writers also demonstrated on how "talking points" and even outright fake stories are "invented"- posted on Drudge, Rush, American Spectator magazine, etc, and then picked up by "mainstream" outlets, before they are exposed as fake.

C. Literally hundreds of fake news items(fake Clinton scandals, pro Iraq war info, etc) were injected into the media in this manner

D. The Rush Drug story appears on Drudge- known for his ties to the RNC. Rush also has ties to the RNC.


Hypothesis #1: Rush/Drudge "allowed" the Drug allegation to surface at the command of the RNC.

Hypothesis #2 : Rush intentionally said the racist comnent, at the request of Rove.

Now before you think I am nuts- read my analysis of the possibilities- i allow for an "in on it" scenario, as well as a "Sacrificial Lamb" scenario...

1. Drudge could care less- what is one more false "scoop" out of literally 100s to his reputation?

2. Drudge is being blackmailed by Rove for his homosexuality (also alleged by Brock)

3. Rush could care less about the drug charges- it is not even true- and he will have a ball laughing it off and using it to further discredit the "liberal media"

4. Once the drug story is proven false- it bolsters Rush's "See- I am not a racist- the media is making stuff up and is out to get me."
5. Rush's listeners and advetisers could care less about his "racist' comments- he has said much worse on his show and no one blinked an eye, or with held $$$...

6. Rush is being blackmailed for his own gay rumors and "forced to do these things- this means that the drug charges are possibly even true.

The point of all this?

Give the media somthing else to talk about besides Bush scandals/

Distract internet activists?

Discredit internet activist- who also happen post info on Bush scandals?

Thoughts?

real scandal. This is pure distraction.

Rove PAYS and limbaugh falls on the sword for him.

Limbaugh and drudge are long time whores for their masters.

Rush isn't that smart and Drudge isn't that much of a whore.

Not just that, but Rush is yesterday's news. He hasn't been big for years, even if he's on some sports show. This isn't making a splash at all, and Traitorgate is still the top news item.

And it appears on several mainstream news outlets?

What if we really do note the media pulling another "Condit", "Lacey Petterson" "Shark boy" "Private Lynch", etc?

Mine is an off the cuff theory- we shall see how this plays out...

I'll bet on it.

This is suspicious. We don't get this lucky. Especially not now.

This is NOT a good thing for him...Traitorgate is rolling and this will not stop it...Rush will be busy defending himself and the small amount of any reputation he had will be gone, he'll be hard pressed to spout his lies about Wilson...the same idiots who listen to him also read the Enquirer...Remember who received Anthrax? If anyone thinks the CIA doesn't have contacts and pull at that rag, well, come on!

I have a theory that key players are being neutralized and this may be part of it.

This won't stop Traitorgate because there's more to come from that. Rush will NOT be happy about the Enquirer story,he'll know about it and be FORCED to talk about that because his idiot listeners read the Enquirer...

I agree! If you're right, they're desperate. If I'm right, it's still all part of the plan...If it's not part of either plan, it's still BAD for Rush and that's GOOD as far as I'm concerned! ;-)

Yeah, he'll try to laugh it off if he can and the same old idiots that listen to him will still listen. It's not like he'll convert anyone...I still think that overall it will most likely be bad for him though...He'll be busy defending himself about the drugs and his racism instead of spewing his usual vitriol...

I know what you're saying, believe me, I read and totally undesrstand your post. You very well may be right, though my gut says that this won't be effective for THAT purpose. It might very well be effective though in, at the very least, distracting Rush...
