Would bringing the SOTU Liars to justice require a "Nuremberg Trial?"
We all watch with great delight (not to mention near-disbelief) as the media appears, at long last, to be getting serious about the SOTU Lie. However, since there have been SO MANY lies, & the media themselves have been fully complicit in pressing all of them into the public's consciousness - how can they possibly now play their onetime role of "guardian of the public interest" again?

The problem is not just that the media no longer has credibility with those of us who have learned how untrustworthy they are. It's that in order to properly expose the SOTU lie - to do it full justice - the media would have to expose ITS OWN role, & would implicitly be faced with telling the public that the entire leadership of the US government is a bunch of criminals.

It doesn't seem that there is any way that this can be done. It seems that the best one can hope for is a very incomplete lifting off the lid of the whole mess. Perhaps one big fish will be thrown to the wolves. But the media cannot possibly present to the public anything approaching the real truth - which is that virtually the whole administration & most of the media executives should all be on trial for war crimes, treason, & abuse of high office.

As with Germany at the close of WWII, there is no domestic authority high enough to put on trial everyone who by rights should be on trial. The media themselves, the Supreme Court itself, the government itself, and many business executives -- ALL of them should be on trial. Justice can't be attained, otherwise. At Nuremberg, it was possible to put the entire German leadership on trial, only because Germany was a defeated nation. (We don't yet have that "advantage.")

What is the best outcome you can conceive of, within the present constraints that the only institutions that can apply pressure to the administration are themselves plenty complicit in what has happened - namely, the media & members of Congress? To what extent is it possible that the truth can emerge, from the action of such corrupted or compromised entities?

1. Let me simplify the question: What is the best that can be hoped for?
(For crying out loud, I didn't even insult any Democrats today!)

I think there's something worth thinking about here - namely, to what extent can a society whose institutions are corrupt, realistically be expected to investigate itself? That is essentially what we have, if Congress & the media are supposed to lead the "examination" of the SOTU (& associated) lie(s).

2. The UN and/or WCC will have to be involved.
Your point that the agencies in the US that would normally prosecute these crimes are themselves complicit and compromised is well made.

Honor can be restored and justice can be served only if there is an agency outside of the US given the authority to deal with the hive of criminals infesting the Bush regime.

I think the calls for such intervention will be stage two of the current play of events.

The US is now a rogue state. I only hope the Bush criminals can be brought to bay and the Constitution restored without the US being invaded by the civilized world.

3. The rallying point is our US Constitution since that is US
we the people are not a military private-enterprise form of government {patterned so much like Third Reich syndicalism because the neocon traitors are fascists using 21st century technology IMO}.

Secondly, the reduction of fear of the unknown has already begun through this same technology, these traitors {no other word can be used} have used it to stimulate the most basic human emotions, {and even behavior} but that isn't US, or any other representational democracy.
Our nation is the world's sole "superpower", no doubt about that.
The greatest advancements of the finest thinkers of all recorded human history, in all spheres of endeavor {even the units of measurement of recordered human history itself} have always been applied to war, even when the intentions and purposes of these advancements have been to promote constructive progress. War has always had the pick of the litter of human achievement.

These basic human emotions are contained in our human central nervous system/CNS, the CNS can be stimulated {and even controlled} through modulation of the wave forms of the various types of radiated energy that we are saturated in, they can't be seen, of course, but the effects can certainly be felt.

That's the media too, RichM, words that are true communicated at hyper-velocities are being heard for the first time by the people, {who always know things aren't what they appear to be} as profoundly staggering as these words are to the politically aware, and as much as they challenge our own basic values about our own national leadership and all, we are taking our government back from the shadow government that has been around for decades using the technologies that were developed to control US and advance PNAC-RPMA and other hidden agendas, because they invested in power over the people and forgot about all power to the people, like it says in the Constitution.

The fear of the unknown has passed. No more fears. More truth is needed, it's traveling far and wide via technologies that are being returned to the proper owners and proper uses.
