13. The high-tech lynching of Rush Limbaugh...a RUSH-less election cycle?
Isn't that what he used to say about what happened to Clarence Thomas?

Wow - an election cycle without Rush...no one could have anticipated that...

Tomorrow could be the beginning of a new era in America...

18. This may still be America after all
There had to be a ton of angry reaction to make that happen. This is very big, IMHO. Rush on ESPN was huge and bad. People who turn on Rush are choosing to listen to the big fat idiot. Having him spew his hate filled propaganda to people who just want to watch a football game is simply disgusting, but also dangerous. I mean, there are lots of people who don't really think politically and who pick up their ideas in a very casual way. Having Rush on there..it's just a bad, bad thing. But the fact that it wasn't tolerated for long is great news.

19. ESPN was stupid, not cynical
I never thought that ESPN was looking for shock value or trying to get the racist viewers. Their thought process was:

"Well, a lot of folks listen to this guy. He might have talent, he says he likes football, and he might bring in all his current fans."

That really seems what happened. It was a gross miscalculation: I don't think ESPN realized what lemon it had bought.

"I think I'm going to cry. I really wish Rush would have hung in there. I think most people would have been behind him"

"This is just the begining. We may need to freep the hell out of ESPN
The Cultural war is starting to get personal. Noy just with Rush. The libs are going after everyone."

"This is all so much CRAP! Burn in hell DIMRATS!"

26. His fans are not going to be happy that he resigned
Limbaugh gave in. It's an admission of guilt. If they had fired him, it would have been seen as the victory of the liberal media. Now it looks like he put his tail between his legs and ran. What a chickenshit jackass.

And I'm withholding my judgement on NFL Sunday Countdown until I see how they respond on Sunday.

But anyway, :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :toast:
