when all this looting bullshit started hitting this board. Rummy used it politically but in this instance ..... I would rather loot, feed my kids, then count on my government to come to the rescue. I would rather see headlines of mass looting than mass starvation. TV's, stereos, non-survival essentials, no ... my moral obligation would not let me do that. Tempting .. :) but no. Peace.
on edit: to wash my mouth out with soap, no need for the cussing. :)

And Gen Myers had this extra bit of 2003 wisdom:

Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, agreed. "This is a transition period between war and what we hope will be a much more peaceful time," Myers said
