What states have a price gouging statute?
I'm hoping PA and NJ, as I live in PA, and will be doing quite a bit of travel to NJ this month.

there's a law regulating the minimum markup but none regulating the maximum price.

2. I think Arkansas does
I remember on 9/11, how one station raised its prices astronomically and were prosecuted for it.

3. In California......
someione says hurricane Katrina is going to affect gasoline prices and before that voice fades away, the service station operators have upped their prices 2, 3 4 and even ten cents a gallon. They have no clue how much gasoline supplies will be affected but by golly, instead of being the patriotic Americans they keep bragging about being, they go after your wallet and mine without a moments notice.

They think they are the only ones trying to make a living. They are simply gougers robbing us blind. There are laws about price gounging in the case of riots and fires......those laws should cover this too asnd there should be people out their who ought to know exactly how much should be charged and arrest those who violate the limits.
That would be a real patriotic service to America.

4. price gouging?
There doesn't seem to be a law that applies to BIG OIL. Their setting record profits in the midst of this "shortage". If they cared about the consumer, or even appearances, wouldn't their profits remain stable as the costs of raw crude climb? How do the increasae profits and sleep at night?

5. Florida must, because even Jeb agrees gouging should be reported.
