and none of the other news channels either cant stomach them. but in the past listening to him, he has been pretty good. i saw him on the coverage for this hurricane, and he seemed to be doing a good and fair accounting. he was about disgusted and outraged at not seeing help for people

I dunno about the AK47's but there are definitely some heavily armed people running around.

Plus I heard that they could no longer keep some of the prisoners and just let them go. If those were the ones I saw on TV looting diapers then probably its no big deal. On the other hand....things could get really weird over the next week.

There are VERY FEW AK-47 rifles in this country, and more illegal ones than legal (the latter being the only kind a gun store would carry).

You can bet gun stores have been looted. People have time on their hands, and will be up to no good.

The mayor of NO just declared martial law. So, that tells me there is some shit going down.

The NRA told us that they use those guns responsibly, right?

Several gun shops, pawn shops, and Wal-Marts (more guns) have been mentioned as being looted. Not to mention that New Orleans has a large and well armed gang population anyway. A few of them probably DO have automatic weapons. Parts of that city were incredibly dangerous well before the hurricane.

Armed looters doesn't surprise me at all.

There are more black people in NO who are honest. And who are helping each other, as best they can under horrific circumstances. But we won't see them. And we won't hear O'Reilly talk about the safeguards that should have been in place to protect our citizens.
His emphasis is the incredibly ugly aspect of conservatism which feeds on blaming "the other". Or, as O'Reilly kept saying with contempt "these people" .

failures of the Bush administration to fund the support agencies? He mentioned how his budget didn't allow for the work on the levees which was desperately needed? He mentioned that Bush didn't send in the Nat. Guard until today....four days too late? Or how the Guard is hampered by their deployments to Iraq? Along with equipment? Or how it took Bush days to respond...while continuing to attend fundraisers and strum a guitar?
