on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. Details are a bit sketchy yet as to who will be participating.

1. Why do we have to pay for this?

Instead of opening our wallets every time something like this happens, it sure would be nice if Bush's federal government used the money they take from us for these purposes. Instead of bullshit wars and raising their salaries from over 100K to 120K or whatever the fuck.

So is this how it's going to be? Every time there's a disaster we get to watch celebrities sing and dance and beg for money because Bush was too stupid to save our surplus?

I'll be watching though. And donating. :(

2. We should do both

We should donate whatever we can but we should also demand that Congress divert money from that disgusting illegal war and give it to this.

4. I know what you mean.

I always end up giving too. I just think it is ironic that the repugs are always criticizing the "hollywood, elitists, leftists, etc." and yet they are the only ones I see come out and try to do something for those in need. Like Farm Aid, Live Aid, 9-11 Benefit, Bono helping with the Aids crisis, etc. Those horrible hollywood people are doing for us what our government should be doing. If I give money, I do it during their telecasts just to assist them. Sorry for the rant...emotional day.
