NBC Brian Williams just said, "Hastily Arranged Fly-Over!"
So there you have it. Air Force One, on it's way back from California makes a "HASTILY ARRANGED FLY OVER" so this sickening weasel of human can look at the devastation.

You know, even Ronnie Reagan had the good sense to be on the ground helping with sand bagging when floods in the midwest occured.

Bush makes me puke!

PS. Gasoline was $1.18 when Clinton left office. The Republicans screamed it was irresponsible governing.

1. Please correct me if I'm wrong ...
The hurricane made landfall Monday ... today is Wednesday ... he had time for more than hasty plans ...

3. His comments weren't written yet.
Or he and Rove were busy planning a rise in the polls.

13. With a major Hurricane headed for NOLA plans...
Preplanned hurricane emerge disaster plans should have been on standby as Katrina hovered off the coast days before landfall. Bush don't plan and he don't react. They just stage and invade for the advantage of their rich buddies.

2. Dare I hope that Brian Williams has seen the ineptness of this
administration first hand and is willing to report such?

I give him credit for spending time in the Superdome during the storm and then after when the flooding started.

OK, OK, yeah he's a TV star and probably has an air conditioned van and bottled water to sustain him.

But, he is seeing this first hand and it's showing. He seems to be allowing a certain amount of frustration to show regarding the federal response to this disaster.

He's been more genuine in his reports from NOLA than I ever thought possible. MKJ

7. Wow, I thought Leslie and Russert held that title...along with Lauer.

That said, he certainly didn't,until now, present anything critical of the bfee on the Nightly News.

But, tonight, he was doing a credible job reporting on what it's really like in NOLA.

9. Brian Williams was great....
after 9/11. He kept asking where was the president? And when they sent out Karen Hughes to speak to the media he went off on the fact that she was a glorified columnist unqualified to be addressing the nation at the time. His halo has surely fallen in my eyes since then, but he has his moments.

16. He flew over after he left Crawford, not California. Yesterday, he came
back from California and went to Crawford, spent the night and then flew over the disaster area on his way to DC.

He could have flown over it yesterday on his way back from CA but they didn't.

17. Thanks for the correction. But What Pissed Me Off...
..was as I saw the beginning of Sports Center on ESPN, Dan Patrick was showing AF-1 over New Orleans! Why? Was there a football game going on we didn't know about? Talk about kissing Bush's behind.

If I recall, it took Bush 3 days to get to NYC too!

19. There's a photo
of Bush looking out of the window of Air Force One on Drudge. I know I shouldn't go there but I can't help myself.

THe GOP will probably use the photo in one of their fundraising letters, just like they did of the picture of him on Air Force One on 9/11 when he finally got out of his hole and decided it was safe enough to fly back to DC.

These people are without morals and will use anything and everything to their political advantage. There will be pictures of Bush on rubble in NOLA talking through a bullhorn talking about support and rebuilding. Chris Matthews will swoon. Brit Hume will invest in oil futures. Sean Hannity will blame Clinton for the hurricane. Bush's poll numbers will soar.

Call me cynical.
