What will tomorrow be like?
I ended a post with this question, but it didn't go anywhere.

This feels so weird, I remember when I was a child...

"The Dow Jones breaks 10,000"

"Record Surplus"

And a man who wanted every man, woman, and child to have access to health care.

My God, what happened to our country?

What will tomorrow be like?

4. Bush's friends will make tons of money
and the rest of America gets the shaft. Same as every day really.

I know what you're getting at, it seems like America is boiling and the lid is about to blow. At this point it seems like the only thing that'll save us is if Bush resigns. He doesn't give a crap about us at all.. I think that's pretty clear to most Americans now. That gives me a little bit of hope.

5. pay attention to the news from NO...
few people realize how tenuous the grip of civilization is. when the foundation cracks, the walls soon crumble. It might not be tomorrow, or even next year. But sooner or later the powers that be will misjudge the severity of a situation, and the entire nation will become NO8-2005.

7. But that was all BEFORE 9/11!!!
Things are different, now. Haven't you heard, or did you forget?

Lucky for you, in case you did forget, you'll probably have plenty of reminders over the next couple of weeks.

Here, have some more kool-aide; you'll feel better soon.

Seriously, in answer to your question, I keep waiting for a better tomorrow, keep thinking we have finally sunk low enough to start turning things around. But we keep falling and falling with no end in sight. I worry that tommorow will just be another, more grim repeat of today.

8. Every day it's something else...
...I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning anymore. We are all paying for the fucking sonofabitch chimp, out our wallets and every fiber of our beings. Why else all of the death and destruction that is going on? Please, please let this be the nail in that bastard's coffin.
