white evacuees/black refugees


Family members gather at a relatives home as they wait out the storm in Wildwood, Mo. 11. Well in all fairness, there are a lot of black familes that left
to be with other family members in Texas and other parts of Louisiana. They're just not showing them.

if this culture gave two shits about the poor, whatever level of goverment would have commandeered and mobilized all manner of ground transportation to move people 50 to 100 miles out of harm's way.

13. its not white/black....
Its rich/poor, (which the rich happen to be mostly white and the poor mostly black) - the point is, the 'poor' could not evacuate. Cant get too far without a car or money to get you somewhere. Were they supposed to gather cardboard boxes and make wings and fly out??

15. the front page of the Atlanta Journal has a picture of law enforcement
controlling REFUGEES. Of course, everyone in the picture other than the police was black. I am highly offended by this term. Why is it that they are referred to as refugees. These are our american brothers and sisters for Christ's sake. We have now reduced ourselves to calling our own refugees. This is becoming uglier by the second...
