Today at work I brought up the misappropriation of NG and flood control funds-- someone said, "Oh every state goes through that..."

I keep hearing these sort of pat "been there done that" kind of comments in response to events of the day (on the Iraq war, oil profiteering, NO broken leveees... whathaveyou) that apparently downplay and reassure those who don't want to think about what's goin' on.

its a devastating thing there. i am so angry I just don't have anything to say that's say-able.
