When are the Republicans going to help us throw this bastard out ?
When are the conscience-unchallenged Republicans going to TRY to persuade their more conscience-challenged colleagues to do something about GWB ? Like resignation, along with Cheney ? Or impeachment ?

Thanks for your input in advance

1. When the National Guard opens fire on people trying to get food
A Kent State type scenario will send them over the edge.

5. Sadly, that's doubtful.
Bush could rape their own daughters on the kitchen floor and these sickos would still be singing his praises as such a "moral man."

Although, madeline, I fear your scenario can't be too far from becoming reality. It is all so devastating, and to think that while all this is happening Bush is sitting in the lap of luxury - can't even be bothered to personally tour the situation or mobilize relief efforts until two days after the storm blew out.

:argh:

Time to pump up the LTTE and start picking the fruits bushco has sown.

It's the Repubs who control all the "voting", it's up to them.

6. Republicans do the right thing?

Only if they get scared shitless and become convinced it's necessary to save their own necks. We could convince them by for example filling the Washington Mall with people demanding the removal of the Destroyer of New Orleans.

8. Never, Rove and Cheney has them all locked in with thumb screws.
I work for commodity brokers, these guys are so out of touch is pretty nauseating most days. Half of them call themselves Libertarians (a funny joke IMO) and all voted for Bunnypants in 00 and 04.

These guys bitch and bitch and bitch about Bunnypants but at the end of the day they always toe the line like the good doggies they are.

To be a Republican in today's world is an exercise of bullshit the likes of which the world hasn't seen since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

After the 04 election, many in the office thought it would be fun to exercise their "mandate" by trying to bait me almost daily. I argued them with fact and tenacity until they finally admitted why they vote Republican every time like robots. They are greedy pigs, they know it and when pushed far enough they will admit it -- every time.

19. There has been a curious absence of any political leadership from anyone
in Congress. I've watched a lot of CNN and except for Dimson and a couple of Blanco PC's, there's been very little media oxygen devoted to Washington politicians. I wonder why? Don't want to embarass the boy-king? I do see the CNN people covering the disaster are beginning to editorialize about the lack of federal action in this crisis.

12. I spent a hour emailing Congress...or using the form on their site
and asking one question:

"How many more Americans have to die from Bush's incompetence before it becomes cost effective to impeach him?"

18. I have one Republican, that I didn't vote for, in my list of
political reps. I have already written him and demanded impeachment of both Bush and Cheney. I have made it very clear that his political career will fall with them, and they will fall. I pointed out that he can save himself by doing the right thing or going down with them, because it's inevitable. Don't know if it will do any good, but not trying would be unthinkable.
