The worst terrorist attack AND the worst natural disaster in US history.
Both occurred under the Bush administration. In both cases, good arguments can be made that the Bush administration was, because of incompetence or simply not caring, guilty of allowing them to occur or become worse than was necessary. They are not only removing our constitutional protections they are also, through inaction, removing our PHYSICAL protections. They can neither hold back terrorists nor lakes! In both cases because they failed to follow through on actions initiated by the previous administration. (Why should they, their predecessors were Demonrats after all! Clinton got a blow job! :sarcasm:) And they probably didn't even win the damned elections.
WHAT THE HELL KIND OF FUCKING NIGHTMARE AM I LIVING IN!!!

1. & the worst wildfires in CA history; Bush denied funds to cut dead trees
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 11:59 PM by Liberty Belle
killed by bark beetles. Doing so would have lessened the devastation and slowed the spread of the fires two years ago, which destroyed 2,500 homes in San Diego County alone and more in other areas.

How many disasters must we suffer before people realize our leader is unfit to protect America?

12. Maybe we should put together a list of these things.
A short concise description of each disaster or problem and why this administration is responsible or partly responsible for it. (I consider someone responsible if they knew or should have known of the possibility yet failed to even attempt to prevent or mitigate it (or blocked other's attempts), when such prevention or mitigation was possible.)
This list could be used on flyers, posters. t-shirts etc. It could have this thread's heading as its heading:
"The worst terrorist attack AND the worst natural disaster in US history."

16. Excellent idea.
I'm writing an editorial for my newsletter titled "How many disasters will it take?"

No one is safe as long as Bush remains in office.

19. Have you done the research yet?
Can you post a list of disasters along with why the Bush administration is at least partly responsible for each?

21. No, but those 3 are sufficient, since most of my readers
are in San Diego, where the wildfires were so devastating.

That plus 9/11 plus New Orleans ought to be adequate to show that Bush is incompetent to protect us from anything, be it terrorism or natural disaster.

If folks here can add more examples, it will be gravy.

4. Back in 2000 I drove my family and friends crazy
with my predictions of how bad life would be under Bush. Even I had no idea just how bad.

By the way, doesn't the administration's incompetence in handling this hurricane make it clear why we are having such trouble in Iraq. The answer is simple: incompetence. Everything Georgie touches turns to ashes.

7. Incompetence
combined with an unswerving dogmatic belief that the Federal Government should do as little as possible for the common man, regardless of the results. And they've spent decades and billions on a propaganda campaign which has convinced half the population to agree with them! They don't care about science. They don't care about facts. They certainly don't care about you and I. I'm not sure they care about anything other than power and profit.

8. How can you tell that the elections are rigged?
Because the politicians don't even bother to pretend to care anymore. The era of accountability is over.

17. That's What I Said On The Radio Last Night
Call in show. I said that i knew that the Bushbots would blame this on someone else, but i made clear that these two incidents happened ON HIS WATCH, and that despite prior warning, in both cases, we were completely unprepared.

My closing comment was that good leaders and great administrators are careful planners. They don't just draw and shoot AFTER the first shot has been fired. Someone who does that is CLEARLY IN WAY OVER HIS HEAD!
The Professor
