2. And?
What's that got to do with what the Gulf Coast people are going through and our leaderless government's seeming incompetence in dealing with the current emergency?

Death don't have no mercy in this land
Death don't have no mercy in this land
In this land
He comes to your house, you know he don't take long
You look in the bed this morning children
You find that your mother is gone
I said death don't have no mercy in this land

Death will leave you standing and crying in this land
Death will leave you standing and crying in this land
In this land
He comes to your house, you know he don't stay long
You look in the bed this morning children
You find that your brothers and sisters have gone
I said death don't have no mercy in this land

Death will go in any family in this land
Death will go in any family in this land
In this land
He comes to your house, you know he don't take long
You look in the bed this morning children
You find that your family's gone
I said death don't have no mercy in this land

I've been wonderin' bout some things I've heard

Everybody's cryin' "mercy"

When they don't know the meaning of the word....

6. Somehow I don't see the private sector paying this off.
And with the constant war and falling dollar, can the government really sustain all of this?

9. It has been the end of some people's worlds.
I think you're going to find you're affected a whole hell of a lot more than you think. And as someone who has a relative lost somewhere in New Orleans, and probably dead, I think your attitude stinks.

10. problem is 0.01% of the people have all the money
And that small percentage is getting more and more of it. And that leaves less money for middle class, wars, disaster, health care, etc.

15. "only a few hurricane prone areas" huh?!
You mean that SMALL area from called the GULF COAST from Texas to Florida, as well as that SMALL area from Florida to Maine called the ATLANTIC COAST? Thousands of miles of coastline qualifies as "only a few hurricane prone areas" to ya?! What color is the sky in your world?!

18. This isn't about hurricanes
All manner of weather formations have become extreme. Looking forward to more ice storms across the northeast, firestorms across California, flooding in Los Angeles and windstorms all across the country like the ones that shut down Paris and Tokyo.

Typhoons Haitang and Matsa have kicked ass all over Asia, and Talim, a category 5 super-typhoon, is currently headed toward Taiwan. It's global.
