Neville Brothers, etc.
There are few cities in the world as important as New Orleans when it comes to music.

Nightline tonight had Branford Marsalis on.

Turn to the artists and musicians in times like this. It was good to hear Branford talk about his home.

I wish I knew where the Neville Brothers are tonight, if the family is OK. I'm listening to them right now. It's breaking my heart.

1. Neville was on CNN earlier today.
I did not have the sound on as I was working, but I did see that he was being interviewed.

2. Three of Aaron Neville's nieces are still missing...
...or were as of that interview. Most of his family got out though.

4. So many street musicians. New Orleans is the best place for street musicia
It's not bad for artists, either.

It will rebuild. It will be a thing of beauty to watch, and a source of pride in the human spirit. No one builds with the soul of New Orleans.

6. "A thing of beauty"
Hell yes.

I feel the same way, and I've been waiting to start talking about this.

One of the great music towns in all the world.

Music was spontaneous in New Orleans.
