in the past when gas prices have spiked - they suddenly come down when Congress starts up an investigation...

I know the reason given "now" is the damage to and lack of refineries and the oil rigs... but come on... admit it -- there's a sneaking thought tweaking at your brain that at least some of it is PRICE GOUGING or similar

Would a Congressional investigation do any good? Don't know, at the least it may allievate accusations of price gouging.... (yeah-right)

Meanwhile back at the ranch --- oops --- back at the White House - bush* opens up the oil reserves... except there is a lack of refineries... too little too late and more "trickle down" politics

bush* has "drilled" us all in a hole and he's "resolute" to "stay the course"
