Shots fired at helicopter
Just heard on CNN that rescue effort at Superdome is being severely hampered because of shots being fired at Chinook recue helicopter.

This situation is FUBAR beyond imagination.

1. someone made the comparison to the fall of bagdad
when there was looting, thefts, kidnapping, and all sorts of mayhem. These descriptions sadly seem to match that comparison - I can barely begin to imagine what it must be like on the ground. Desperate people mixed with some predatory folks who are also desperate. Frightening mix.

2. well, they COULD be trying to signal the helicopter...desperate
people do desperate things. If I saw a rescue helicopter flying over me again and again and I was not being picked up....
