They are getting people out at gate either H or 8

I think it's in a trash shoot.

There seems to be no panic so far

There was a report earlier of 10 more busses being in route

for fuel. They were going to load up 10 and then move 10 more in at a time. I think they also said that 5 busses were going in for the special needs people so hopefully they are on their way to evacuate their hospitals. Ems were still waiting for fuel last I heard too.

and still no mention of the soldier was shot last night by MSM.

Shots fired at evacuation helicopters, fires in the shelter, gang conflicts among the evacuees.

A few survivors have commited suicide, the people can't take much more. The authorities MUST get them out of there.

trying to get 6 buses out to airport to pick up MP's they were asking for these 6 buses at 4:00 this morning. It is now 7, tell me this shit isn't intentional.

I was listening to one of the streaming local stations on tuesday and there were three guys in jeans and t-shirts in a makeshift studio discussing events. One said he had spoken directly to an NG guy in the dome who told him that conditions were awful and that in his estimation there were 60,000 people there!

They showed footage of some looters with food and nappies and other people with large bags... the main anchor said "are those more looters?" and the reporter said "NO. Those are people who took refuge in some hotels and who have been kicked out. They were told there are gas leaks etc... and they were asking us "How do we get home?? Back to Metairie etc??" And what could we say?? We knew nothing."

That they had stopped evacuation of the Superdome. I also mentioned that their "up to the minute news" was hours old. :P

I think they don't have enough bodies to guard the firemen, and keep their security perimeter.

they're pulling the firefighters out; worried that they can't hold the crowd for long.

It's not real easy for me to hear this scanner, so take it for what it's worth.

Sounds like they cut a cordon in the crowd to get the firefighters into the dome, but don't think they can keep the crowd from overwhelming them. Asking for the firefighters to leave as soon as they can.

I hope they are able to finish getting those people on busses soon, this is going to degrade quickly if not.
