Where's Dick Cheney?
The country is facing its worst national disaster in a century, we are mired in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we're facing an energy crisis that may cripple the economy -- and the VP of this country is nowhere to be found.

I repeat, where is Dick Cheney?

Perhaps it is Cheney's absence from the scene which explains Bush's particularly rudderless performance throughout these latest crises, since most of us believe it is Cheney who has run this govt anyway.

I repeat, where is Dick Cheney?

1. This is of no concern to Cheney...
Until he can get some no-bid, bonus incentive, no oversight reconstruction contracts written for Halliburton.

9. This is not a matter of "wanting him around."
It's a matter of being honest, for once, with the American people. I despise Cheney with every fiber of my being, but he IS the VP and we have a right to know where he is.

8. 2 real possibilities:
1. another under-disclosed health problem

2. something worse (i.e., they recognize an opportunity to work on something else we wouldn't like, while we're all distracted by katrina).

10. Fly fishing, perhaps?
Just because Shrub had to "cut his vacation short" doesn't mean Cheney has to.

13. If Cheney is out of commission...
...due to undisclosed ill health, that would explain why Bush and the WH have been so paralyzed.

Cheney runs things. He may be a bastard, but he is more competent than *, so his disappearance is ominous.
