Gov. Blanco has been in office for less then a year

and i keep hearing the RW taking shots at her but i've heard none of them talking about the former republican governor.

She's a Democrat, and a woman in a "man's job". They'd take potshots at her for letting the sun shine.

I flew into Detroit two years ago the day after the huge power outage in the Northeast. As we drove in from the airport we listened to the press conference Governor Jennifer Granholm (another woman Democrat) was holding. She was magnificent. Pretty much the first thing she did was make sure water got to the Detroit area, because the tap water wasn't good.

Women tend to be much more attuned to the genuine humanitarian aspects of things, and so go straight to what's needed instead of posturing. I know that's a pretty broad generalization, but just think in terms of ordinary family life.
